July 29, 2006:
Happy one year referral anniversary sweetheart!
It is hard to believe that one year ago today Daddy and Mommy were looking
at your photo on the internet for the first time and learning all about you.
We love you soooooooo much Mia Belle!!!!

I'm Home!
July 5, 2006:  Happy Fourth of July!
The end of June was filled with a wonderful two week vacation to MN.  Dad, Mom and Mia visited family and friends.  Mia had a difficult time adjusting to all of the changes at first and did not
sleep or eat very well.  She also decided on that trip that she would no longer take a bottle of milk at night.  Thus, she now only drinks water- no juice, milk, nothing else.  Mia is becoming a very
picky eater and it is stressing me out.  We had lots of fun on our trip to MN.  We shopped at the Mall of America, went to an underwater aquarium, played in a huge indoor climbing gym and
bounce house, had a luncheon with relatives, shopped some more, played on playgrounds and went for walks.  We tried to have professional photos taken, but Mia was so overtired and crabby
that she cried almost the whole time.  I am anxious to see the proofs!  Dad went home early to work.  Mommy and Mia had quite the flight home... we had to circle the Miami airport due to
storms, ran out of gas, made a detour landing in Ft. Myers to get gas, sat on the runway for over an hour due to more storms, finally got gas and flew back to Miami.  We were home about five
hours late.  Mia did a super job on the plane, especially since we had our little DVD player with Nemo!  It is good to be home.
Since arriving home, we have remained very busy.  Mia and Mom went to a story and craft hour at the library where we made Yankee Doodle hats, went to a birthday party at a pool and another
party at a bowling alley, we all went to Theater of the Sea and feed the parrot fish, on the Fourth we went on a boat ride and then to a pool party (we didn't make it to the fireworks), and we saw
our first movie- Cars- which Mia sat all the way through and loved!  Now about the Fourth pool party... Mom had a headache so we were just planning to stop by for a few minutes to say hi.  Mia
really wanted to swim once she saw that water so my friends stripped her down and brought her in.  What did she do then?  Poop all over the pool!  Mom jumped in fully clothed and began
scooping out the pieces.  It was funny, well, kind of!
Some Mia updates... she loves popcorn, enjoys making messes every second she can, is speaking like crazy, can repeat the alphabet letter by letter, now wants to watch Nemo instead of
Madagascar all the time, says "I do love you", and is turning into a fantastic toddler.  Some favorite words... bummer, love, China, "K" which sounds like "tah" for Grandma Karen, "G.G." for
Grandma Gail, stuck, Nemo, elephant, summer, pool, jump, wet, sun, moon, star, sky, monkey, lion, pig, octopus, and so much more.
Mia's uncles had fun asking Mia to say fart and fish.  The word fish comes out as "sh-t" (insert the vowel i to get the full effect!).  Living down in the Keys, we see fish all over.  Boy, do people start
looking at me when she yells the word fish!  What is a Mom to do?!?!  Posting some photos below from all of our escapades.  Enjoy!
