March 2, 2006:
Mia has become a talking and cottage cheese eating machine the last couple of weeks!  She says so many words and it is so much fun.  Today Jon was home with her and they came to
visit me at work.  We were celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday with a readathon so my students read Mia her favorite Dr. Seuss book- The Foot Book.  They also taught her to say piggy.  It was
cute.  I came home from work to find my baby doll sitting in her water table holding the hose and spraying it all over the yard.  She and daddy were having fun with water.  Now about the
cottage cheese... I have been reading that toddlers sometimes eat only a couple of favorite foods and become picky eaters in their toddler years.  Well Mia has definitely discovered a true
love for cottage cheese.  She wants a bowl morning, noon and night.  Mia has also discovered how to open up the heavy refrigerator door so she will open it, point to the cottage cheese,
and make loud yearning noises.  It is really quite comical.  At least it is a healthy obsession!  I am putting some photos of our cottage cheese lover below.  More news... she went pee in
her potty chair twice this past week- in the mornings.  We are not actively potty training, but I am letting her sit on her potty chair sometimes when I change her diaper.  This weekend Mia
and I are going to the Asian festival up in Miami.  Should be fun!  We went to the Miami Zoo last weekend and enjoyed walking around.  We only got through about a third of it- it is big.  We
need to go back again when Daddy can come so he can help. Mia now enjoys playing with her dolls so I am sure we will play dolls this weekend too!
Do you like the village of blocks that I built?
I am busy trying on my hats and hugging my bear!

March 26, 2006:  Since I last posted, we took Mia to the doctor and started her on
antibiotics for her cold/infection.  She is finally feeling better!  I am officially on
spring break so we are going to play all week.  Tomorrow daddy has a day off of
fishing so we are going to the zoo.  We need to see the lions this time.  Mia's
favorite animal as of lately is the lion.  She is still addicted to the movie
Madagascar and would watch it every day if we let her.  She loves roaring like a
cat.  Very cute.  We also plan to have Mia's six month anniversary photos taken at
Kiddie Kandids- not sure how she will react to that  idea!  I cannot believe that our
six month anniversary is coming up in a couple of weeks!  As the saying goes...
time sure flies when you are having fun.  On Weds., Mia is getting her Little Tikes
playground delivered so we will be playing in our yard a lot!  This past week, Mia
got a new baby grand piano from a friend.  She loves playing it!  We may have to
get a real piano for her some day.  She also loves her new baby stroller and her
big pink ball.  Do you like her toilet paper boa?  She went into the bathroom and
decided to deck herself out in toilet paper while mommy was doing the dishes.
Mia also loves to help feed the dog!  Stella is not quite sure what to think.  Some
new words of the week:  ball, side (for outside), eyes, nose, yucky, open, hippo,
owwww....
I will post more under April as this page is getting quite large!

I love to say the word bubbles and I love to play in the bubbles!
March 11, 2006 Update:  Mia has had a bad cold for the last week. I am taking her to
see Dr. Zuba on Monday.  We went to the Asian festival last weekend, but that was
the first day of Mia's cold so she wasn't so happy.  Mia did enjoy the Japanese
drumming and the Chinese lion dancing shows.  She ate some fried rice and then
we came home.  It was fun.  This week, we read books, colored pictures, played
blocks, and tried on hats.  We have been low-key allowing her to get lots of rest.  Of
course, I still took photos even though her nose was snotty and her little face was red
from nose wiping!  Mia found a couple of new foods that she likes... whole grain
wheat thins and honey teddy grahams.  She said some new words this week...
cracker, bubbles, shark, neigh (when she sees a horse), roar (when she sees a
lion), apple, good girl, and she even said dog poop as she watched Stella go potty!
Too funny.  Mia had a difficult time getting to sleep tonight as I think she doesn't feel
well.  It took a few hours to get her to sleep and it is late so I am off to sleep.
Night-night as Mia would say!
I'm Home!
Coloring pictures is fun!
I like to help my mommy clean the house.
