Mia's new favorite food is quiche. She can't get enough of it! She is becoming a picky eater and doesn't like food that she used to love. Oh well, quiche is pretty healthy right?! Mia's new
words of the month are: night-night, water, cat, woof-woof (for dog), yes and she is on the verge of saying many other words. When she sees photos of herself she says mama and she
calls daddy and I both mom. Mia still loves to dance to The Wiggles and play in the water. She is so much fun- we simply adore her!
We've had a fun month of December. My good friend, Cari, came to visit. During the trip, she told me her exciting news... she and her husband are adopting a little girl from China! We are so
thrilled for them and cannot wait for them to experience the same joy that we have had with Mia. In addition to our special visitor, Mia and I had play dates with friends, attended library story
and craft time, went swimming, took a boat ride, and traveled to MN for Christmas. Mia had a super time in MN meeting all of her family and playing in the snow. She enjoyed opening her
presents and really got into the whole idea of ripping the paper off of her gifts!
I have two more weeks of fun with our girl and then I go back to work- ugh! We are working on hiring someone to come into our house part-time while I work. Daddy has a flexible schedule
so he and Mia will get lots of bonding time together which will be nice. I have to admit that I envy all of those stay-at-home moms right about now. It will only be four months until I have
summer vacation though so I know I can do it!
Some upcoming events... Grandma Gail and Grandpa Mike are coming for a visit soon, Mia has her big doctor's appointment this week, we're planning a trip to Parrot Jungle, and more!
