Arrive in Hong Kong!
We arrived safely! Jon timed our trip here and it took us 31 hours from the time we left our house until we arrived at our hotel. The plane ride to Hong
Kong was very crowded and very long. Needless to say, we are tired but happy! We just checked into our hotel room- the hotel is very nice. At noon,
we are going out to lunch with some of the members from our group- dim sum lunch of course! After lunch, we are going to tour the city with our CCAI
rep. Should be fun. The people we are traveling with are seem very wonderful. We are looking forward to getting to know them... and of course...
getting Mia! I am going to try and post this now- hope it works. I will try to add more photos after our tour. We miss everyone!

Hong Kong breakfast of champions...

This morning, we took wonderful showers
and then went on a long walk along the
water. It was nice. We saw people fishing
and we stumbled upon the "Avenue of Stars"
that contained the handprints of Jackie
Chan who seems to be quite the celebrity in
Hong Kong.
After our walk, we met up with most of our
group to go on our afternoon tour. We
didn't get back to the hotel until after 7 so it
got a bit late, but was enjoyable. We ate a
dim sum lunch which was very tasty. After
lunch, we hopped on a bus to "Victoria
Peak"- a high vantage point to view Hong
Kong. Our next stop was a sampan ride to
check out fishing boats on the river. That
was very neat- I think Jon loved seeing a
different kind of fishing. The last two stops
were not as much fun- a tour of a jewelry
store and a small clothing market. I think we
were all so tired that shopping was last on
our minds. I did purchase a beautiful set of
traditional Chinese silk embroidered pj's for
Mia. I think they will be a nice keepsake.
