Leave Nanning for Guangzhou Sorry to post late, but we were so tired by the time we got to the hotel that we all crashed. It was quite an eventful day... we flew from Nanning to Guangzhou- about an hour flight. Mia did quite well on her first airplane ride! She didn't cry, but did have to be entertained the whole time. The flight home should be interesting. When our guide, Raymond, picked us up, he took us all directly to the medical clinic for baby's health examination. I will post some photos below that will show you how Mia felt about this whole experience! The check-up consisted of three different stations- weight, height, temperature, ears, nose, throat, and body check. They were concerned that she had a fever because her forehead felt hot, but she didn't. Mia is teething so I think she is not feeling the best as a result. A great time was had by all of the babies! After the medical exam, we all went to the White Swan Hotel. Mia chowed and then proceeded to puke her first huge puke on Mommy, herself and Mommy's bed. I hope it is because she ate too fast and not a result of flying and motion sickness. We LOVE this hotel and Guangzhou. It is such a refreshing and enjoyable place- especially after Nanning. We put Mia in the baby carrier and hiked all over town. Our hotel is on an island surrounded by the Pearl River. There are British style buildings all around and a lot of great shops and eating areas. Jon and I had a blast shopping and eating good food! We ate dinner at a restaurant in the hotel and then went to bed early. It was a wonderful day overall.
