October 20 and home...
My first time in my new crib.
I love my Taggies blanket and my snuggle bunny.
I like my new toys, but Stella's
water dish is the most fun of all!
Whenever I wake up, I have a smile ready for my
mommy and daddy.  I am such a happy baby!
Hurricane Wilma's welcome
home to Mia.  Our fence seems
to be missing something!  No
more avocados for us- our
avocado tree went timber with
Stella standing under it!  It is
resting on wires and other small
trees.  Daddy has been busy
with the chain saw, but we are
contemplating what to do with
this tree.

Home sweet home!
We arrived home at 5 a.m. and were welcomed by grandma and grandpa at the Miami Airport.  It was a wonderful feeling to make it home to the U.S.
with our new daughter.  We were also welcomed home by a category three hurricane- Hurricane Wilma.  After rushing home, showing Mia her new
surroundings, preparing for a hurricane, riding the storm out, losing power, suffering through major colds, and more-- we are happy to report that we
are all adjusting well and Mia loves her new home.  The only problem we are working out relate to sleep.  Mia is definitely not taking regular naps or
sleeping through the night at all.  Mommy is up half the night feeding her and playing with her.  I am hoping this will work itself out soon.  Our dog, Stella,
is slowly figuring out that Mia is here to stay.  She is showing a bit of indifference, but doing well.  Mia is trying to figure out what Stella is!?!  She loves
to play in Stella's food and water dishes.  Mia continues to amaze us with her personality and we feel so blessed each and every day.  What an
experience!  I am glad to finally be able to update our site- the hurricane caused us to lose power for some time.  We lost a lot of trees and our fence
was destroyed, but we didn't have any flooding like many of our neighbors did so we feel lucky.  Just have a lot of yard clean-up to do.  Jon is off to the
airport with his mom who is flying home today.  We will be on our own for a couple of weeks and then my mom flies in for a week.  Mia loved her
Grandma Gail and Grandpa Mike and we are looking forward to introducing her to Grandma Karen and Grandpa Steve soon.  I am posting some
photos from our few days home, as well as some of our damage from the hurricane.  Our neighbors all think we should change Mia's name to Wilma
now- I think not!  I plan to post weekly updates for all of our family and friends so stay tuned.  Thanks to everyone for your support in our awesome
journey to Mia.
