October 17...

Today is our U.S. Consulate appointment!
We ate at a restaurant last night where you can purchase dinner out of the tanks.  They had everything from water beetle to worms (just think fear
factor!).  Jon ordered a lobster which was delicious.  I had some sort of noodle soup which was tasty.  I will add a photo or two from the event below.
Jon completed our US paperwork yesterday and it was all correct so Mia is officially ours according to the USA!  Yippee!  We had our big buffet
breakfast, walked around and shopped and then had lunch in our room.  Mia got her first purse which she loves.  Daddy held Mia in the baby carrier
the whole time and they did great together.  Mia went down for a nap after lunch so I decided to sneak away with some of the group to shop.  I got Mia
a beautiful strand of silver-pink colored pearls, but it was a bad idea for me to leave.  Mia woke and was freaked out.  Poor Daddy had to deal with a
screaming baby and poor Mia was upset.  I felt terrible when I got home.  We are excited to get home and work on bonding and getting a routine
figured out.  It is difficult here.  Only one more day.  There is an optional trip to the zoo tomorrow morning and then we have our Consulate oath
appointment in the afternoon.  My tummy is rumbling and the others are in bed so I am off to join them.  Signing off...
